What a productive weekend...

We had a very nice productive weekend... and the best part, we still have another day off! Gotta love long weekends.

Yesterday we went to my uncle's house for the annual Spaulding dinner for my grandfather & grandmother. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon - plus, I was able to make my grandmother's Irish Soda bread - yummm! Another good thing about the dinner was that I was able to talk to 4 of my uncles who live a few miles away from the hospital. They said that if we go into false labor or if we want to stay at their house as we get closer, we are more than welcome to! So I hope that will be a nice stress-reliever for Dan.

After the dinner, we stopped at Ikea to look for a bookshelf. We didn't find anything we liked, and we discovered that we're probably not Ikea people.

Today, we ran some errands and then came home to tackle our "To Do" list. We got a lot done and I feel pretty good. Especially because I have all day tomorrow to clean the house, wash the sheets, and potentially do some scrapbooking!

We were able to get a lot of things checked off our to do list, and as an obsessive-compulsive person, I love being able to check things of my lists! We hung the shelves, we touched up all the painting, Dan started working on the coat racks, I did 2 loads of laundry of Alexander's clothes (all of his onesies 0-3 months are washed, as well as his coming home outfit and a few other pieces of clothes, burp cloths, blankets, & face cloths). I'll wash some of his pajamas tomorrow. I also packed up the diaper bag(s) and got the majority of the hospital bag packed. I'm trying to figure out how to finish packing the bag when there are things that will go in there but I will need to use them until up til we leave to head to the hospital.

I also took a trip to Babies R Us and stocked up on baby wipes, items for the diaper bag(s), a week and a half worth of diapers, and other little essentials.

All in all it was a good weekend - and the best part is that it's leading up to my birthday which is on Wednesday. And for those who don't know - I *LOVE* my birthday, and since I'm taking the day off and going to get a massage (that Dan gave me for Valentine's Day), I'm really looking forward to the day!
