Happy 2007...

Another year as come & gone, and it's now time to ring in a new year. Seeing as how I'm one person that doesn't really make resolutions, I'm more under the belief that trying to be a better person and living your life to the best of your ability are just things that you should try to do anyway.

This coming year will bring new challenges, and fun moments. Not only this year, but this month alone has a lot of things going on! We have our childbirth classes, my Grandfather's Memorial dinner, and then our baby shower on January 28th. I'm quite looking forward to all of the changes that we're about to go through. Plus I've waited over half of my life to be a Mom, so I really can't wait for the new little bundle to arrive.

This past weekend rounded out the 2006 Holiday Season and it was jam-packed - which is what I felt 2006 was. So at least we're consistent. Pack up the Holidays, bring on the baby. At least that's been my internal motto since Sunday.

On Sunday (New Years Eve), I started to clean the house and gather Christmas decorations to make it easier to switch from Christmas gear to 'normal'. We also had plans to go over friend's house for dinner. It was very, very, very hard to actually get up the motivation to shower & go to their house, but Dan REALLY wanted to go. However, I had warned Dan ahead of time that I probably wouldn't make it til midnight, so we were there for a few hours and then headed home. We got home around 11pm, with just enough time to take some traditional New Years Eve pictures, watch Dick Clark (poor guy), and toast the New Year and then I headed to bed. Dan was sweet and got me some sparkling cider while he had a mini bottle of champagne to toast. It was a nice New Years Eve - able to see friends, but still able to be home & in my pjs for midnight! Then yesterday was the day from Productivity! I cleaned the majority of our house, did all the laundry, put away all the decorations, and our house looks & feels normal again. But it was such a NICE feeling to not have to leave the house!

I hope everyone had a very nice, safe & relaxing New Years Eve - and that the upcoming year is a great one for you!
(I apologize if this is redundant for some...)
